Everton manager David Moyes looks on vs Fulham. Inset, EN Mystery Player.
David Moyes will be after the players who want to play for Everton rather than looking for an easy stepping stone.
This could’ve quite easily been the case of Liam Delap, whose signing for Chelsea might be a silver lining.
Moyes has obviously turned his Everton plans away from the striker since then, but when it became clear Delap was a priority, it would’ve frustrated the hierarchy to see the rejection.
The Friedkin Group would’ve worked tirelessly to try and get this signature, but now they can cement Thierno Barry’s arrival instead.
Barry is someone who wants to play for Everton, and another target is also hoping that wish comes true.

Everton target Gabriel Gudmundsson wants Premier League move
Defenders are certainly on the radar for Moyes as Barry’s arrival should secure the forward signing they’ve been desperate for.
Specifically in defence, Vitaliy Mykolenko requires some competition as he remains the only viable option on that left side at the club.
This is where Gabriel Gudmundsson comes in, as Gudmundsson is of interest to Everton, with ever-present transfer window rivals Leeds United also intrigued.
Well, the Lille full-back has come clean on his ‘ambition’ to make a switch to the Premier League, as Moyes has every right to pursue a move after the Swede spoke on his future.
“I was very clear with both Lille and my agent that I am focusing on the national team, and then I have a holiday,” Gudmundsson said to Hallandsposten.
“It is very important for me to be able to switch off completely and be able to recharge for the upcoming season.”
“I can only say that it is a good team that plays in the Premier League, a league and a country where I also have an ambition to one day play, considering that I grew up watching that league. It’s a league that I appreciate very much.”

How Mykolenko compares with Gudmundsson as Moyes will have tough decision
It’s been pretty clear for the last three seasons, Mykolenko has had the left-back position locked down.
But Moyes might question this going forward after Mykolenko struggled with pressure from Everton fans, as the new project will no doubt need players who can handle the big moments.
Well, taking Gudmundsson for instance, he’s already shown that ability last campaign, playing 90 minutes in the Lille side that beat Real Madrid 1-0 in the Champions League.
Moyes will take into account his versatility from that game as the 26-year-old played centre-back, but when comparing his left-back prowess to Mykolenko, it will be a difficult call for Moyes.
But the edge might just go to Gudmundsson, as it’s not every day you keep Vinicius Jr and Jude Bellingham quiet.
