On a day when a report has come out saying that Newcastle United are in talks over a £125 million triple transfer deal, another report has now surfaced suggesting the Magpies have their eyes on two other players from one club, which could set them back another £100 million.
Newcastle are certainly ramping up their transfer activity if today's reports are to be believed. The Magpies have already had a £45 million bid for Anthony Elanga rejected this week, meanwhile Fabrizio Romano has claimed they could have a deal done for Burnley 'keeper James Trafford in a matter of days.
As per The Telegraph, talks for Brighton forward Joao Pedro are also taking place behind the scenes, so we could start to see some positive movement soon.
Now, Give Me Sport claims that Newcastle are eyeing two players from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.

Newcastle are reportedly keen on Antonio Nusa of Leipzig
It was recently reported that Newcastle retained an interest in Xavi Simons, and GMS have added fuel to that fire, but also claim that Newcastle are also keen on Antonio Nusa and could turn to Nusa as a cheaper option.
Their report claims that Xavi Simons has indicated a willingness to move to the Premier League and that Leipzig would give the move a green light should a £60 million offer arrive, which could be good news for Newcastle. Although reaching £60 million could be a stretch for Newcastle, who have been quoted the same asking price for Anthony Elanga, and yet they still went in at £45 million.
Nusa would likely cost just £40 million; however, the issue with Nusa is that he's a left-sided winger, and it's the opposite flank that requires immediate attention.

We'd take Xavi Simons at Newcastle in a heartbeat but we don't see it happening
Both would also be options if Newcastle's efforts to sign Anthony Elanga ultimately fail.
We'd definitely be happy enough with Xavi Simons as a back-up if we can't agree on a fee for Elanga, though we imagine we'd come up against the same issue - Newcastle's reluctance to pay the asking price for anyone.
Although we can't imagine Simons will be around on the market for long, as there'll be plenty of other clubs happy to pay the price to land the Dutch international.
