Bruno Fernandes has made his feelings clear after Manchester United sent their farewells to Victor Lindelof and Christian Eriksen. The Reds confirmed earlier this month that Lindelof and Eriksen, alongside Jonny Evans, would leave the club when their contracts expire on June 30.
Hubert Graczyk, Tom Wooster, Tom Myles, James Nolan, Sam Murray and Jack Kingdon are among the young players that will depart United at the end of the month. Goalkeeper Tom Heaton's deal is due to expire next Monday but United confirmed that they were in talks about extending his stay.
Lindelof arrived at United from Benfica for £30million plus add-ons in 2017. He struggled for game time in his first season but cemented himself as a key part of the Reds side from there on. In fact, Lindelof made 35 or more appearances in five successive seasons up until the 2023/24 campaign.
Last term, Lindelof played just 25 matches under Erik ten Hag, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Ruben Amorim, and United made the decision to release the Swede at the end of his contract. In total, Lindelof featured 284 times for the Reds, winning the FA Cup, Carabao Cup and the Europa League.
United posted a final farewell message to Lindelof on Instagram which read: "From that first day at Carrington in 2017 to that final game at Old Trafford in 2025 — thank you for everything, Victor [red love heart emoji]."
Reacting to United's post, Fernandes - who has played with Lindelof throughout the whole of his five-and-a-half years in M16 - shared the message on his Instagram story with a smiling face with tear emoji.

Meanwhile, Eriksen signed for United as a free agent from Brentford in 2022. He had impressed during a short spell at the Bees after returning from suffering a cardiac arrest at Euro 2020.
Eriksen played a key role as United won the Carabao Cup in 2023 and then starred during their FA Cup success against Manchester City the following year. In total, he made 107 appearances for United.
Alongside an interview from Eriksen, who looked back on his time at Old Trafford, United said in a caption: "A final farewell from Christian [pleading face emoji and red love heart emoji]."

Fernandes also shared United's post on his Instagram story and used a magic hat emoji.
Lindelof and Eriksen are set to followed by several other players leaving United this summer. Marcus Rashford, Antony and Jadon Sancho could all leave the club after spending time out on loan towards the end of last season.
