Steph Curry Reacts to Big Win at Underrated Golf Tour Event

One day removed from Morgan Riley’s breakthrough victory at Eisenhower Golf Course, NBA superstar Stephen Curry used his platform to shine a spotlight on the rising golfer’s achievement.

The storybook moment unfolded at the Air Force Academy’s Eisenhower layout, where Riley carded a two-day total of 139 (five under par) in swirling winds and intermittent downpours.

It was his first title on the Underrated Golf Tour, which was founded by Curry in 2022 alongside former pro Will Lowery with the aim of removing barriers for junior golfers from diverse backgrounds.

Curry shared the post from Underrated Golf Tour on his own Instagram with a simple congratulations.

While Riley navigated a solid opening round of 71, it was Day Two that stole the show, closing with 68 to secure a two-stroke lead.

A native of Raleigh, North Carolina, Riley is part of the Class of 2025 and carries a decorated amateur resume into the professional ranks.

He graduated high school with a Harvard University letter of intent, having compiled an AJGA ranking as high as No. 74 nationally, with three top-five finishes in 2023 and two top-10 AJGA career finishes as of 2025.

Curry, a self-described "golf junkie," played golf in high school and regularly participates in celebrity golf tournaments, including having played with former President Barack Obama.

In July 2023, Curry won the American Century Championship, an annual celebrity golf tournament in Nevada.

As the UGT heads next to its Indiana stop at French Lick Resort from July 2-4, all eyes will be on Riley to see if he can parlay this momentum into back-to-back titles.
