NEW YORK (WNDU) - A South bend native was selected in the second and final round of the NBA Draft on Thursday night.
Javon Small was picked by the Memphis Grizzlies with the 48th overall selection.
Small played for Riley High School as a freshman before spending two years at Franklin Central High School in Indianapolis. He thenĀ played his senior season at AZ Compass Prep School in Arizona.
During college, he started out at East Carolina, where he played for two years before going to Oklahoma State and then most recently West Virginia.
During his senior college season, the 6-foot-3 guard averaged 18.6 points and 5.6 assists per game.
