'No advanced talks' - West Ham insider pours cold water on reports of imminent offers for…

West Ham United face a crucial summer transfer window but are struggling to kickstart things due to a shortage of finances, failure to secure targets, and several other factors.

The Hamers have already failed with moves for LOSC Lille duo Angel Gomes and Jonathan David. Nothing has materialised from the interest in Ardon Jashari.

However, news reports this week claimed the Irons were trying to tie up deals for Yunus Musah (AC Milan) and Raphael Onyedika (Club Brugge).

Unfortunately for West Ham fans, trusted insider ExWHUEmployee poured cold water on reports of imminent bids.

Speaking via The West Ham Way Patreon channel, Ex confirmed that although West Ham have scouted both players, suggestions of formal approaches are wide of the mark.

Recent reports touted Musah as a key midfield target, but high-level club sources dismissed those claims.

“Reports emerged this morning that West Ham are set to make a move for Milan midfielder Yunus Musah,” Ex said.

“But when we asked the top source for clarity, they replied: ‘I did not know he (Musah) was on our list. Ignore 90% of what you read in the press.'”

While his name has been circulating in scouting circles, there has been no movement toward a concrete offer.

The same goes for Club Brugge defensive midfielder Raphael Onyedika.

“There are no advanced talks for Onyedika either,” Ex added. “No offer has been made yet. The club are speaking to some intermediaries to explore deals, but we are still at the early stages.”

For now, fans may need to temper expectations of early signings. The real action may not begin until West Ham can sell players and get clarity regarding Lucas Paqueta.

It must be difficult to stay patient, knowing the massive revamping work the club has to do this summer, but there is no choice but to wait.
