Kudus Mega Money Saudi Move Still Alive

Reports claiming [Mohammed Kudus](https://www.claretandhugh.info/mohammed-kudus-bio/) has ruled out a move to the Saudi Pro League are wide of the mark. Should a team trigger the £125m exit clause, set for Saudi teams, West Ham would be obligated to permit the player and his representatives – ROOF Sports Management -to enter negotiations.

Interest from Premier clubs has been restricted by PSR (Profit and Sustainability Regulations) constraints, with the £85m release clause for English teams proving prohibitive. West Ham are willing to entertain offers slightly below this yet with the player still under contract until June 2028, and an option for an additional year, all potential outcomes remain on the table.

Liverpool, who have been big spenders so far in the window, are reportedly looking at the possibility of a swap deal, involving England U-21 star Harvey Elliott, who scored two goals in the recent European U-21 Championship semi-final win against the Netherlands. Elliott picked up an injury during his celebrations, but it isn’t thought to be serious.

Outside of the Premier League, Europe’s elite have similarly been deterred by the £80m trigger, set for European clubs. So this narrows his suitors.

As the club begin pre-season preparations, Kudus will be expected to join the first team squad at Rush Green within the next few weeks.
