West Ham are being named as an option for Liverpool defender Joe Gomez, according to reports this morning.
The versatile England international is believed to be surplus to requirements at Anfield as Arne Slot continues his Liverpool revamp. Now, Football Insider are claiming inside knowledge that Gomez would consider a move to West Ham this summer.
The Hammers have been linked with the 28-year-old—who carries a valuation of around £25 million—since the end of last season. However, central defence is not currently a priority for the club.

Just because the board have agreed to inject funds into the transfer coffers doesn’t mean they’ll be in a hurry to blow a large chunk on defence.
