Wolves are in the market for a striker to compete with Jorgen Strand Larsen, as multiple players look poised to leave Molineux.
Strand Larsen’s return of 14 goals was excellent in his debut Premier League campaign, but the towering Norwegian needed more support, which wasn’t forthcoming.
Goncalo Guedes only scored twice in 29 appearances, 19 of which were from the bench, while Hwang Hee-chan equalled that tally in eight fewer matches.
Guedes has since been linked with a move to Flamengo after revealing his ‘ambition’ to leave Wolves, with Hwang also facing an uncertain future.
So, with Vitor Pereira not being a huge fan of both his back-up forward options, the Portuguese boss is hunting for someone to rival Strand Larsen.

Fulham see £13m bid rejected for Wolves target Romulo Cardoso
Last week, Wolves entered the race to sign Romulo Cardoso from Turkish side Goztepe after his stunning season for the club.
The 23-year-old plundered 17 goals and laid on 10 assists in 33 appearances, with former boss Nuno Espirito Santo and German giants RB Leipzig both showing an interest.
It was then reported that Leipzig were in the driving seat for Romulo, as the Brazilian centre-forward was keen to join the Bundesliga side.

But in a classic twist during the transfer window, The Athletic’s David Ornstein revealed on Thursday that Fulham saw a €16m (£13.6m) bid rejected for the striker, with Goztepe demanding north of €20m (£17m).
The report also revealed that Leipzig, Feyenoord, Fenerbahce and Zenit Saint Petersburg are several of his many suitors, with multiple offers submitted and talks continuing.
Should Fulham win the race for his signature, Romulo will rival former Wolves striker Raul Jimenez and current first-choice Rodrigo Muniz for a place in the starting lineup.
Jorgen Strand Larsen needs support in 2025/26
Romulo has been lauded as ‘fascinating’ due to his unique striker profile, but as it stands, it doesn’t appear Wolves are pushing hard to sign him.
That being said, striker is certainly a position that needs investment. Guedes and Hwang don’t fit the mould of what Pereira wants in a centre-forward, which is why shopping in the market is imperative.
There haven’t been too many striker links so far this summer, as Wolves target replacements for Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri instead.
However, once those positions are plugged, the Old Gold will need to scour the market for a lethal finisher to challenge Strand Larsen.
