Ruben Amorim told that two Man Utd stars showed their true colours with their actions,‘optics look really bad…’

Ruben Amorim has been warned that two of his first-team Manchester United players were “bang out of order” and were “disrespectful” with their recent actions.

The 40-year-old Manchester United manager will soon return to the dugout for the Red Devils’ forthcoming pre-season campaign in the United States and Europe.

United will be on their pre-season tour in both July and August ahead of the start of the 2025-26 Premier League season at Old Trafford for Ruben Amorim’s men.

The Red Devils’ first pre-season match will be held at the Strawberry Arena in Sweden, with United facing Premier League rivals Leeds United on 19th July.

United will also cross paths with Premier League sides West Ham, Bournemouth and Everton in friendly matches before finishing the tour against Fiorentina.

The Red Devils will be in action on the opening weekend of the new Premier League season and United will face Arsenal at Old Trafford on 17th July.

Ruben Amorim receives a clear-cut message about Man Utd winger Alejandro Garnacho after Aston Villa shirt drama

Alejandro Garnacho shared a photo of himself wearing an Aston Villa shirt on social media recently and the Manchester United winger came under fierce criticism.

The Spain-born attacker walked back on his now-deleted Instagram post, which showed him donning an Aston Villa top with Marcus Rashford’s name on it.

According to BBC Sport, Alejandro Garnacho was ‘merely’ sharing a ‘supportive’ post about Marcus Rashford, who spent the second half of the season out on loan.

However, the 20-year-old Red Devils winger’s post stoked the flames with United fans and Stan Collymore has now slammed Garnacho’s behaviour on social media.

“Alejandro Garnacho knew what he was doing when he posted himself wearing an Aston Villa shirt,” Collymore said in his CaughtOffside column.

“The optics look really bad, especially because it is a team that he could realistically sign for this summer.

“In general, footballers wearing [shirts] of other teams is something that I do not like. I could never understand doing it, and in Garnacho’s case, it feels like he has done it as a way to get back at Man United, given that he is expected to leave.

“And it also comes across as a come-and-get-me plea to any clubs that could sign him.

“I think these sorts of situations could even be covered in the fine print of players’ contracts, that being any action that is seen as looking to force a move or attract interest while it is in effect.

“It could be seen as a breach of contract, but I can’t imagine Man United will take extreme measures like that because it could come across as petty.”

Man Utd players Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford both brutally slammed for their recent actions

Marcus Rashford has been linked with Barcelona and the Aston Villa and United player dropped a teasing verdict about wanting to play alongside Lamine Yamal.

Alejandro Garnacho, much like United teammate Rashford, has an uncertain future at Old Trafford under Amorim and has been linked with a move away this summer.

Stan Collymore has insisted that both Garnacho and Rashford have been “disrespectful” with their recent off-field activities while they are still at United.

“It’s simple for me: Garnacho was bang out of order for doing this,” he added.

“He’s a Man United player, and frankly, it’s disrespectful too. And the same goes for Marcus Rashford with his comments about wanting to play with Lamine Yamal – he’s basically making it known that he is desperate to join Barcelona.”

Garnacho’s relationship with Amorim fractured last season and the United manager reportedly told him in May to look for a new club in the summer transfer window.
