Brighton are prepared to accept offers of £25-30million for Matt O’Riley in the summer transfer window amid interest from Serie A clubs.
That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that Fabian Hurzeler is prepared to let the 24-year-old move on.
After just one season at the Amex after arriving from Celtic in a Scottish-record £25million deal, the Seagulls plan to at least break even on their investment.
This comes after Brown told Football Insider on 10 June that Brighton will entertain offers for O’Riley after he made it clear he would be interested in leaving.
Everton had also been linked with a move for the midfielder, but the likes of Napoli and Roma have now entered the race, with Italy his most likely destination.
Football Insider revealed on 2 June that Brighton will make it difficult for Everton to sign O’Riley and will demand a lofty fee to sell to a Premier League rival.

Brighton plan to accept Matt O’Riley offer amid summer exodus
Brown told Football Insider on 19 June that Brighton are facing a potential summer exodus from their squad as Julio Enciso also looks set to leave.
The former scout, who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, insisted that the Seagulls are prepared to let any player go for the right price.
“*Brighton are ready to let Matt O’Riley leave,*” he told Football Insider.
“The player has let them know he’d be interested in a move away, and the manager is prepared to let him leave because he’s not a big part of the starting XI.
“There’s a fair bit of interest in him from Italy, the likes of Napoli and Roma have been spoken about.
“I think the thing at Brighton is really that any player has a price, and if clubs are willing to spend then they’ll let them go.
“If they can make back the money they spent to sign him from Celtic, they’ll take it.
“That was around £25million, so if they get offers of that value they’ll consider them.
“Certainly they’d accept £30million, making a profit on a player who hasn’t exactly pulled up trees for them would be a very good deal.
*“It seems the best decision for all parties will be to let him move on.*“

Harvey Elliott update emerges after Liverpool latest
Despite ongoing speculation surrounding players potentially leaving the Amex this summer, they are also aiming to improve Hurzeler’s squad.
Brown told Football Insider on 26 June that Brighton want to sign Harvey Elliott from Liverpool and are well-placed to complete a £40million deal.
Elliott’s impressive displays have continued since the season’s close, and he scored both of England Under-21s’ goals in their Euros semi-final win against the Netherlands.
Brown told Football Insider in April that Liverpool will not block Elliott’s exit but will demand a “huge” fee as they aim to make maximum profit from his sale.
