Leeds United fans would love the addition of Habib Diarra this window, but there have already been many complications.
The Senegalese midfielder is a sought-after prospect this window after seriously impressing for Strasbourg in Ligue 1.
So much so that Diarra is now wanted by Atletico Madrid, in a blow to both Leeds and Everton, who are interested.
But the Whites seem to be gunning the most for the 21-year-old as the 49ers tabled a bid of £23.9m.
Whether that’s true is another story, but well-renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano has just dropped some major news surrounding Diarra’s future as Daniel Farke and co are getting to work.

Fabrizio Romano bombshell on Leeds United target Habib Diarra
After impressing in June with Senegal, this has only heightened Leeds’ pursuit in the no.8.
Strasbourg’s club president has allowed Diarra to leave, as it seems the French side are willing to accept an offer if the price is right on the deal.
It seems that this price will be in the £20m+ margin, but after Leeds signed Jaka Bijol for £15m, the owners could certainly look to secure a cut-price deal.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Romano has dropped a bombshell on Diarra ahead of pre-season, which was previously unknown to the public.
“They are in negotiations for the player. He’s really appreciated,” Romano said.
“Diarra is one of the most appreciated options internally, but it’s not an easy deal because of the valuation, so it’s still complicated to make it happen.
“But Leeds are trying.”

Leeds must accept Strasbourg demand for Diarra
With negotiations now taking place, Leeds have a huge chance to land Diarra this summer.
A player of his calibre at such a young age would be an incredible tool to utilise in the Premier League, as the midfielder isn’t only a promising talent, but he’s also a leader.
Bijol also has strong leadership, as a pattern might be beginning to emerge this window, but Leeds have to give in to Strasbourg’s demands for Diarra.
This demand being that Strasbourg want £25m for Diarra, and although the 49ers will be looking to drop that fee, they must get a player of his calibre through the door as soon as possible.
It’s clear the Leeds hierarchy can’t beat around the bush, as with negotiations underway, the Whites have a platform to get this deal done for Diarra.
