Former Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker has been suspended by the NFL for violations of the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy, the league announced on Thursday.
The suspension comes after news broke in January that Tucker was being investigated for sexual misconduct. According to ESPN, 16 massage therapists from eight Baltimore-area spas made allegations of inappropriate behavior by Tucker. The alleged incidents occurred from 2012-16, according to ESPN.
The Ravens released Justin Tucker in early May. He is currently a free agent.
“Free agent Justin Tucker is suspended without pay for the first 10 weeks of the 2025 regular season,” the NFL’s statement reads. “Tucker’s suspension will take effect on roster cutdown day, August 26, and he will be eligible for reinstatement on Tuesday Nov, 11.”
The NFL’s statement adds that Tucker, like any free agent, may serve his suspension without being signed to a team. If he does sign with a team, he can participate in training camp and preseason games.
Tucker’s agent Rob Roche said in a statement to NFL insider Ian Rapoport that he was disappointed with the NFL’s decision.
“Justin has always strived to carry himself in a way that would make his family and community proud. He stands by his previous statements. In order to put this difficult episode behind him and get back on the field as soon as possible, we have advised Justin to accept this resolution and close this matter,” the statement says. “The people who know Justin best know his character and understand that while he remains fully committed to excellence as a football player, he is deeply dedicated to his most important lifetime roles as a father, husband, and friend.”
Baltimore drafted former Arizona kicker Tyler Loop in the sixth round of this year’s NFL Draft, prior to releasing Tucker.
Tucker played with the Ravens franchise from 2012 through the 2024 season. He has been named first-team All-Pro five times and helped the Ravens to the Super Bowl title in 2013.
The Ravens said when they released Justin Tucker that he was being cut as a football decision.
Tucker holds the NFL record for the longest field goal at 66 yards. He is also the most accurate kicker in NFL history, making 89.1 percent of his attempts over the course of his career.
“Sometimes football decisions are incredibly difficult, and this is one of those instances. Considering our current roster, we have made the tough decision to release Justin Tucker,” the Ravens statement reads.
“Justin created many significant and unforgettable moments in Ravens history. His reliability, focus, drive, resilience and extraordinary talent made him one of the league’s best kickers for over a decade.
“We are grateful for Justin’s many contributions while playing for the Ravens. We sincerely wish him and his family the very best in this next chapter of their lives.”
