The New York Knicks have acquired the draft rights to Serbian big man Luka Mitrovic in a draft-night trade with the Los Angeles Clippers.
Every so often, the NBA sees the rights to long-forgotten or rarely-mentioned European draft picks unexpectedly change hands — and that happened again on the second night of the 2025 NBA Draft.
Luka Mitrovic, the 60th pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, had his rights traded to the New York Knicks.
Originally selected by the Philadelphia 76ers in 2015, the Serbian forward’s draft rights have been traded multiple times over the years. Now, nearly a decade later, they officially belong to the Knicks.
Mitrovic, now 32-years-old, currently plays for Crvena Zvezda in the EuroLeague. This past season, he averaged 5.6 points and 2.9 rebounds per game.
