Man Utd-linked midfielder is now on transfer radar for two Premier League teams, his club future is made clear

Ruben Amorim and Manchester United could have to fight off two Premier League clubs in the race to bring one midfielder to Old Trafford, according to reports.

The 40-year-old Manchester United manager is expected to reinforce key positions within his first-team squad ahead of the 2025-26 Premier League campaign.

United have been linked with potentially signing a new midfielder, with Ruben Amorim lacking squad depth for players to use in the middle of the park.

Amorim will see midfielder Christian Eriksen leave Old Trafford at the end of June and Kobbie Mainoo’s campaign was disrupted by injuries last season.

The former Sporting CP head coach has had to rely on an ageing Casemiro and the role of Manuel Ugarte under Amorim still remains up in the air at Old Trafford.

Toby Collyer has been building experience in the United first team, but the 21-year-old defensive midfielder also saw his spell last season curtailed by an injury.

Man Utd have been linked with Galatasaray midfielder Gabriel Sara and other Premier League clubs are keeping close tabs

Gabriel Sara has been at Galatasaray since 2024 after the defending Turkish champions signed the 26-year-old Brazilian midfielder from Norwich City.

The former Norwich City and Sao Paulo player has impressed during his spell at the Super Lig outfit and Gabriel Sara has been linked with Manchester United.

Sara is under contract with Galatasaray until 2029 and he made 45 appearances across all competitions last season and he scored twice and picked up 10 assists.

Journalist Kutlu Akpinar has now reported that United are not alone in their interest in Sara, who began his career in the youth academy of Brazilian side Sao Paulo.

Galatasaray midfielder Gabriel Sara is on the radar of Aston Villa and Leeds United amid Man Utd transfer interest

Turkish outlet Haber Sarı Kirmizi reports that Kutlu Akpinar has suggested that Aston Villa are one of two Premier League teams that could rival United for Gabriel Sara.

It is believed that Leeds United are also interested in the Brazilian midfielder and both United’s rivals and Aston Villa have been ‘following’ the Galatasaray star.

However, it is claimed that Akpinar has revealed that there has been ‘no change in the process’ and the Galatasaray management is ‘very happy’ with Sara.

Sara will ‘remain’ in the Galatasaray squad this summer and United, Leeds and Villa face a tough task in trying to convince the Turkish side to sell him.
