Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Blackpool’s teenage sensation Gabriel Schluter, sources have told Football Insider.
Premier League champions Liverpool have agreed a six-figure fee with Blackpool for Schluter and he is set for a medical on Merseyside next week.
The midfielder has caught the eye of of a number of clubs higher up the football pyramid with his displays for Blackpool’s academy sides.
Schluter, 16, made his first-team debut for Blackpool last November when he came off the bench in the EFL Trophy tie – ironically, against Liverpool’s Under-21 side at Bloomfield Road.

Tangerines boss Steve Bruce admitted he “wouldn’t be surprised” to see the teenager leave for a Premier League club back in December 2024, following his first-team debut.
Football Insider revealed on 4 December that Fulham and Stockport County had been keen to side the winger.

However, it is English giants Liverpool who have now stepped up to make a top-flight move reality following a successful campaign at youth level for Schluter.
The Reds have brought through the likes of Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliott, Conor Bradley, Caoimhin Kelleher and Jarell Quansah in recent years – with Trent Alexander-Arnold also an academy graduate.
Football Insider revealed on Thursday (26 June) that Liverpool have opened talks with academy graduate Owen Beck over a new contract before he continues his development with another loan exit.

Meanwhile, Football Insider has revealed (24 June) that Brighton are “confident” of striking a deal for Liverpool 22-year-old Elliott.
The Seagulls are among the front-runners to land the England Under-21 superstar before the 1 September deadline later this summer.
Brighton are smart operators and are capable of meeting Liverpool’s £40million asking price for Elliott after their big-money transfer business in recent windows.
