The hits continue to come for one of the best kickers in NFL history.
The NFL announced Thursday that free agent Justin Tucker is suspended without pay for the first 10 weeks of the regular season for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy.
Tucker, who the Ravens released in May, can serve the suspension as a free agent and is free to sign with an NFL team. If he were to sign with a team, he could attend training camp and play in preseason games before the suspension begins on Aug. 26.
He is eligible for reinstatement on Nov. 11.
Tucker has been accused of engaging in sexually inappropriate misconduct at high-end spas by at least 16 women between 2012 and 2016.
The Baltimore Banner initially reported the allegations against the 7-time Pro Bowler in January with additional women coming forward a month later.
Tucker has denied the allegations, calling them “unequivocally false”, the report “desperate tabloid fodder” and accused the Banner of “journalistic failures at every turn.”
“We are disappointed with the NFL’s decision,” Tucker’s representative Rob Roche said in a statement.
“Justin has always strived to carry himself in a way that would make his family and community proud. He stands by his previous statements. In order to put this difficult episode behind him and get back on the field as soon as possible, we have advised Justin to accept this resolution and close this matter.”
Tucker, one of the best and most accurate kickers in NFL history, has made 89% of his kicks since entering the league as undrafted free agent out of Texas. He made two field goals to help Baltimore beat the 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII.
Tucker also holds the NFL record for longest field goal at 66 yards, which he made as time expired against the Lions at Ford Field in 2021.
But the 35-year-old is coming off the worst season of his career, generating career lows in field goals made (22) and field goal percentage (73.3).
The Ravens drafted Arizona kicker Tyler Loup in the sixth round of April’s draft.
