Andrew Carr gets Udfa deal with Trail Blazers

It is hard to believe how quickly Mark Pope assembled a competitive roster in year number one, but he made it happen, and the Kentucky Wildcats returned to the Sweet 16.

One guy who helped make the turnaround happen was Wake Forest transfer Andrew Carr.

Carr has been signed by the Portland Trail Blazers as an undrafted free agent. ESPN’s Jonathan Givony broke the news following the NBA Draft.

Carr is not the most athletic but has tremendous skill at his position, averaging 10.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game last season in Lexington.

From Delaware to Wake Forest to Kentucky, Carr worked his way up to the nation's top college basketball program and will now look to make his way onto the professional court.

Carr is a unique player at his position and has become a talented passer for his size, and has developed into a much better defender throughout his time in college.

It will be exciting to see his next steps, and congrats to him and his family on the UDFA deal!
