Sporting director travels to UK for talks with Leicester City and Arsenal midfielders

According to a claim in the Turkish media, Fenerbahce are showing interest in Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi and Arsenal’s Thomas Partey.

Jose Mourinho is keen to strengthen his central midfield this summer following reports Fred could leave the Istanbul club.

The Brazilian has been linked with Everton in recent weeks, with reports Fenerbahce could offload the former Manchester United player. Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma is reportedly a target for Mourinho, and it now seems Partey and Ndidi have been added to the list.

Turkiye Gazetesi report on Fenerbahce’s pursuit for the Leicester City and Arsenal players, who are both set to leave their clubs in this transfer window. It’s been widely reported the Gunners haven’t been able to extend Partey’s contract beyond this month, whilst Ndidi doesn’t want to play in the Championship next season.

It’s claimed Fenerbahce sporting director Devin Özek has travelled to the UK to hold transfer talks with the central midfielders. Mourinho is said to be keen on the two players, especially Partey. At this stage there are no reports of any bids or the personal terms being offered.

Ndidi is contacted to Leicester City until June 2027, whilst Partey will be a free agent in the coming days.
