Cristhian Mosquera has an agreement with Arsenal over personal terms as the Gunners try to secure his signature from Valencia this summer.

Following reports of serious Arsenal interest in Cristhian Mosquera breaking on Thursday, Matteo Moretto reports that there’s already an agreement between the player and the Gunners.

After breaking the news of Arsenal’s pursuit, football insider Hand of Arsenal reports that personal terms are not an issue at all, and Fabrizio Romano writes that the player has already given his green light to the move.

Romano expands on that on his YouTube channel, confirming that Mosquera wants to go to Arsenal, he sees the move as the perfect opportunity for his career, and he’s not scared to compete with Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba for starts.

Arsenal obviously also need to reach an agreement with Valencia. Romano reports that a deal could be possible for €20-25m (£17-21.3m), and Tom Allnutt and Gary Jacob confirm for The Times that Valencia want around €20m.

Mosquera would probably be worth more in normal circumstances, given he’s a young and talented defender with rival interest from top clubs like Real Madrid.

But the player’s contract expires in 2026, so there’s an opportunity to secure his signature for a bit less this summer.

As well as Hand of Arsenal and Fabrizio Romano, David Ornstein and James McNicholas also confirmed Arsenal’s pursuit of Mosquera for The Athletic on Thursday.

Ornstein reported that Arsenal have made a defensive signing a priority this summer, with Mosquera currently their preferred option for the position.

Mosquera made 41 appearances for Valencia this season, as well as playing nine times for the Spain u21s. He had the best ground duel win rate in La Liga in 2024/25 (of players who contested 100 or more).
