Everton could be set to kickstart their summer business with a bang.
The Toffees are in need of a positive window to help build on the progress already made by David Moyes since coming in as head coach.
It is fair to say that the Scot had a positive impact since coming in and will want to continue that moving into the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
That could have been dealt a huge boost ahead of the new season after a huge Jarrad Branthwaite update emerged on Merseyside.

Branthwaite set to sign new Everton contract
There is no doubt that the 23-year-old has become one of, if not the most important players for the Blues since breaking into the first team.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
As a result, keeping hold of him has become a priority for the coaching staff in L4 and the Friedkins since their arrival last season.
It appears that the Toffees’ owners have pulled off a masterstroke in arguably their signing of the summer by keeping hold of the centre-back, in what can be considered a twist given the recent speculation.

This comes as Sky Sports journalist Lyall Thomas has reported (27 June) that Everton are close to agreeing a contract extension with Branthwaite.
There are said to be certain elements remaining to be ironed out, but a deal could be announced as early as next week in L4.
The Englishman has been strongly linked with an exit amid interest from the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham, but the Evertonians have held out and remained adamant in their stance.
This looks set to have paid off with the star defender now set to remain on Bramley Moore and wear blue for the foreseeable.
Branthwaite set to stay at Everton
The upturn in form and morale under Moyes was certainly huge last campaign, helping push the L4 club away from any potential relegation battle.
It appears that the Scot’s successes have played a massive role in keeping hold of Branthwaite despite such a high level of interest.
Now the ex-PSV loanee looks likely to play a key role as the Toffees move into their new stadium and kickstart a new era.
This will come as a huge boost as it allows the successful trio of Jordan Pickford and James Tarkowski to remain at Everton for at least another year.
The perfect birthday present for Branthwaite, and music to the ears of the Goodison faithful.
