Paris Saint-Germain have offered Marco Asensio to Fenerbahçe as they look for a new home for the midfielder this summer.
That’s according to journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, who reports that the Champions League holders are offering Asensio around.
He’s set to return to the French capital at the end of this month after a very successful loan spell at Aston Villa in the second half of this season.
Unai Emery is keen to keep him long-term but their plans to do so were dealt a major blow by Aston Villa’s failure to qualify for the Champions League.
That has left their finances tight, with a big sale likely to help balance the books before they can move on the additions that Emery would like for his squad.
Thus, Asensio is in limbo for the time being. PSG, though, are not wasting any time and seemingly offering him around to see if there are any suitors. One of the clubs he has therefore been offered to is Fenerbahçe.
They could be set for a busy summer themselves as they look to keep pace with Galatasaray, who have already signed Leroy Sané and are planning a big summer of strengthening.
It’s all bad news for Aston Villa either way, as they may end up losing out on Asensio to other suitors as PSG offer the 29-year-old around.
