Valencia have insisted that they have already received and rejected an offer from Arsenal for defender Cristhian Mosquera.
That’s [according to Radio Marca Valencia](https://x.com/RMValencia/status/1938551334845755648), who report that Valencia have informed them they’ve already turned down an offer from Arsenal. According to their information, the Gunners’ offer was worth less than €20m.
They also confirm that they are yet to present a formal renewal offer to the 21-year-old, whose contract is set to expire next summer.
Reports in the UK yesterday made it clear that Arsenal were pushing to sign the defender and had already secured a personal agreement with him.
They were followed by reports in Spain today that said the same, stating that Mosquera had changed his mind about his future at Valencia and wanted to join Arsenal instead.
The latest reports then stated that Arsenal were preparing a €20m offer for the defender but, crucially, he was waiting for Valencia to make him a contract renewal offer before deciding on a move.
Now Radio Marca report that Valencia are insisting that they’ve already received a bid from Arsenal, which was less than €20m. This was rejected, and it now remains to be seen if the Gunners come back with a second bid.
