AUSTIN, Texas – Texas forward Arthur Kaluma has signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Los Angeles Lakers after going undrafted during the final night of the 2025 NBA Draft.
As first reported by ESPN's Jonathon Givony, Kaluma is set to sign with the team and take part in the NBA Summer League, which will take place in Las Vegas from July 10-20, featuring all 30 NBA teams. The games will be held at the Thomas & Mack Center on the campus of UNLV.
An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year, minimum salary agreement that isn't guaranteed. It can also include an optional bonus of up to $75,000 that will be rewarded if a player, after he's waived, spends at least 60 days with a team's G-League affiliate. Additionally, any player signed on an Exhibit 10 deal kept on the 15-person roster after the start of the regular season will see their contract converted to a standard rookie minimum deal.
Kaluma spent one season with the Longhorns after spending his first two seasons at Creighton and then playing his junior campaign at Kansas State.
The 6-foot-7 forward had arguably his most well-rounded season as a collegiate player.
He averaged 12.3 points per game, while bringing down a career-high 7.5 rebounds, which led the Longhorns on the season. Kaluma also shot career-highs in field goal percentage (46.2%), three-point percentage (35.9%) and free throw percentage (78.4%).
After Texas added several players in the transfer portal prior to last season, Kaluma signed with the Longhorns in late June, nearly two months after the additions of the others – leading to more questions than answers as to where Boston native fit on the roster.
However, Kaluma quickly emerged as the team's most consistent second scoring option behind star true freshman guard Tre Johnson, who was drafted by the Washington Wizards with the No. 6 overall selection in the 2025 draft.
He also earned a reputation as being one of the toughest players on the team, consistently playing through pain and battling as an undersized power forward.
Those traits were on full display in Texas' 61-53 win over then-No. 22 Missouri.
In a game the Longhorns had to have, Kaluma gutted his way through a knee injury, en route to 14 points, 12 rebounds, two blocks and two steals – helping Texas secure the win.
Kaluma playing through his knee injury against Missouri with a "we-before-me" mentality ended up costing Kaluma as he was unavailable for the team's thrilling, 22-point comeback win over Texas A&M three days later.
Prior to his time in Austin, Kaluma was a starter on a pair of teams at Creighton that went to the NCAA Tournament, including an Elite Eight run.
After transferring to Kansas State, he served as a third scoring option on a Wildcats' team left out of the big dance.
For his career, Kaluma averaged double-digits in scoring in each of his four seasons, ending his collegiate career having played in 134 games (131 starts) and averaging 12.2 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.
