Birmingham City have agreed a deal to sign Wolves midfielder Tommy Doyle, sources have told Football Insider.
The two clubs have finalised the terms of a loan move and the 23-year-old will undergo a medical at the Championship club soon.
Wolves have given the green light to Doyle joining their Midlands rivals in order for him to get regular game time.
Birmingham see Doyle as a key player in their bid for back-to-back promotions.
His imminent arrival is part of what is expected to be a big influx of new talent during the summer window.
Birmingham City excited by Doyle’s creativity
Doyle played 24 times in the Premier League for Wolves last season, but made only three starts, and he featured for just a couple of minutes in a number of his substitute appearances.

The midfielder came through the Manchester City academy, making only one appearance for the senior side.
During his time at City, Doyle had loan spells in the Championship with both Cardiff and Sheffield United, so has experience in the division.
Birmingham are believed to be excited by the midfielder’s creativity and ability to move the ball quickly between the opposition’s lines.
Last season, Birmingham amassed 111 points on the way to the League One title, and Chris Davies’ side will have ambitions of a positive season back in the second tier.

Sheffield United, Leicester City & Middlesbrough race to sign Alli
Meanwhile, Football Insider has exclusively revealed that Sheffield United, Leicester and Middlesbrough are eyeing moves for Luton Town attacker Millenic Alli.
Alli, 25, impressed for Luton at the back end of last season, scoring four goals in six starts for a struggling Hatters team.
The forward joined the Hatters in the January transfer window after supplying Exeter with 12 goals in the first half of the 2024-25 campaign.
The Irishman proved he could step up and score goals in the Championship with his move to Kenilworth Road, but Luton were relegated to League One last month.
