Everton’s search for a new winger is now beginning to ramp up ahead of July.
The turn of the month is going to mark an exciting moment for Everton in the transfer market as it is the start of a new PSR window.
David Moyes has waited patiently, with just one signing made since he returned to Merseyside at the start of the year.
Everton are prioritising attacking additions this summer, with the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin expected to leave the club.
But it is proving an extremely difficult and competitive market to operate in as clubs across the land look for major upgrades.
Everton are battling Premier League rivals for targets and are facing some struggles in competing against sides offering European football.
However, there has now been one player to snub a move elsewhere with Everton hot on his heels.

Timothy Weah snub Nottingham Forest amid Everton interest
Everton are keen to sign Timothy Weah this summer from Juventus, but so are a number of other Premier League sides.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
The Toffees do hold a long-standing interest in Weah who is currently playing in the FIFA Club World Cup over in the United States.
According to The Guardian, the American has now snubbed a potential move to Nottingham Forest.
A deal had been agreed between the two clubs for Weah which saw the forward left out of the Juventus squad on Thursday.
But the player has now turned down the opportunity to play in Europe at the City Ground.
Everton are battling Tottenham Hotspur for Weah, with plenty of clubs in the Premier League considering a move for him.
This fresh development may just throw up some concern from those on Merseyside over their ability to land the American, though.
Everton face real battle for signings this summer
It is only a month into the window and Everton have already lost out on Liam Delap, and face stern competition for other targets.
Given the number of players that Everton need this summer the Friedkins will be cautious about outbidding their rivals for each target.
However, the Toffees may well hold an ace up their sleeve.
Everton are hoping to attract players with their new stadium, which will provide a real boost over the likes of Forest.
Of course, the Blues cannot offer European football yet, but there is a real ambition to get back to competing for the top spots.
