This past season, fifth-year senior Peavy had his strongest campaign. He averaged 17.2 points per game, 5.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 2.3 steals while showing improved shooting percentages of 48 percent from the floor and 40 percent from 3-point range.

His ability to guard multiple positions has drawn comparisons to Herb Jones, who the Pelicans selected in Round 2 at No. 35 overall by the Pelicans in 2021.

In addition to Peavy, the Pelicans also added Kansas 7-foot center Hunter Dickinson, signing him to a two-way contract as an undrafted free agent, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

In the NBA, a two-way contract is a special type of agreement that allows a player to split their time between the NBA team and its G League affiliate. This means a player on a two-way contract can play for the NBA team for a limited number of games (up to 50) and spend the rest of the season with the G League team.

Dickinson averaged 17.4 points, 10 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game while shooting 52 percent from the floor with the Jayhawks this past season.

Officially listed at 7′2 and 265 lbs., Dickinson transferred from Michigan to Kansas, where he played the past two seasons as a fifth-year senior.
