Liverpool winger Luis Diaz has reportedly been pictured with Barcelona midfielder Dani Olmo in Ibiza over the summer break. This comes amid fresh uncertainty over the 28-year-old's time at the club and publicly recognised interest from the Spanish club.

Diaz finished his latest season with Liverpool by partaking in the Premier League title-winning celebrations that happened after the final game of the season through to the end of the open top bus parade on Monday, May 26. Afterwards the winger jetted off to his homeland to play Colombia's June World Cup qualifiers and once they finished, his summer break began.

It was during this period that Anfield chiefs became baffled by building transfer speculation but then had to rebuff Barca as they declared interest. Adding intrigue to the scenario, Diaz has now been pictured with a player from the very same club.

Toque Sports on X, formerly Twitter, have posted a picture of Diaz alongside Spanish international Olmo, who was Barca's big-money signing of 2024.

They claim this to be new and to have been taken on the Mediterranean island of Ibiza.

To back up that claim, Diaz's dyed lighter hair colour does seem to match that of the picture he posted to Instagram one day ago. Before that the No.7 had uploaded various snaps on June 16 and 17 of his wedding alongside partner Gera Ponce in which he had his natural black hair.

In line with Olmo's club being rebuffed by the Reds, the ECHO reported that Diaz is not a player they plan to sell this summer. His current contract is also set to expire two years from now, but there is a relaxed approach towards that at present.

Such a stance has reportedly left Diaz and those close to him 'unhappy', however, and the possibility of a transfer to resolve the matter was not ruled out in that latest claim.

That would be a turn from what the player in question told Colombian media during the recent international fixtures.

"I'm very happy at Liverpool, I've always said so. They've welcomed me very well from day one," he began.

"We are currently in contact with Liverpool, because we are talking to clubs, and that's normal given the transfer market that's opening. We're trying to arrange what's best for us,

"We’re talking to clubs, it’s normal in the market and we’re looking at what’s best for us.

"I'm waiting to see what happens. If they (Liverpool) give us a good renewal or I stay there for two years, I’ll be happy. Now it’s up to them."
