First one to report the news was Shams Charania of ESPN.

Ujiri was entering the final year of his contract with the Canadian franchise, but his stint will end prematurely.

Ujiri won't continue in either of Team President or Vice Chairman roles with the Raptors.

As Marc Stein suggested first in May, Ujiri was a candidate for a vacant spot in Atlanta Hawks for a new president of basketball operations, hinting at Ujiri's time in Toronto coming to an end.

Ujiri worked in the Raptors franchise since 2013, and brought a championship in 2019.
