Rio Ferdinand has given his judgment on Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal title chances next season. Rio Ferdinand has expressed his opinion on the upcoming Premier League season, stating that it will likely be a two-horse race between Manchester City and Liverpool.
According to Ferdinand, Arsenal might pose a challenge for a couple of months but ultimately won’t be able to sustain the pace required to win the title.
Ferdinand’s comments come after Arsenal’s recent transfer activity, which has seen them sign Christian Norgaard and Martin Zubimendi.

However, the club has also witnessed important first-team players leave the club this summer. Arsenal recently released a list of 20 players that will be leaving the club, including Nathan Butler-Oyedeji, Reece Clairmont, and Raheem Sterling Jorginho and most recently Thomas Partey, among them.
Ferdinand argues that the Gunners have not been able to replace some of these top names, which may haunt them next season.

Moreover, Ferdinand also argues that Arsenal’s forward line is a major weakness, and the team needs to sign a center forward or left winger to challenge for the title.

Manchester City, on the other hand, has been rebuilding their squad under Pep Guardiola, signing Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Cherki, and Rayn Ait-Nouri. Ferdinand believes that these signings will help City return to their best form.
City’s performance in the Club World Cup, where they won 5-2 against Juventus, showcases their potential.
Manchester City has also been engaged in talks with a Brazilian club regarding a potential signing after already securing a £25.6 million-rated fullback. The upcoming season promises to be intense, with City looking to reclaim their dominance in the Premier League. With their strong squad and impressive form, City will be a major force to be reckoned with. Arsenal, on the other hand, will need to address their forward-line issues and make significant signings to challenge for the title.
