Sky Sports Italy Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has revealed which striker he thinks Arsenal will sign this summer out of Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko.
The Gunners are desperate to bring in a number nine this summer as they aim to get over the line and finally win a Premier League title after three consecutive second place finishes under Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal have been strongly linked to both Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig and Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres. The most recent update on Sesko was that Arsenal could make a U-turn on signing him, due to his hefty wage demands.
Meanwhile, the most recent reports regarding Gyokeres have said that he was prioritising a move to Arsenal rather than Man United, who he has also been linked with. However, there has been a fresh twist in the Sesko/Gyokeres saga.
Di Marzio says Arsenal will sign Gyokeres
Amid the reports suggesting that the Gunners want both Gyokeres and Sesko, it seems difficult to tell just which one they are going to sign. Both are expected to cost a lot of money, and their wage demands will be hefty too.
However, Sky Sports Italy Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio was quoted in German news outlet Wettfreunde saying that he believes Gyokeres will play for Arsenal next season.
He was asked about whether the Gunners would sign Sesko, and responded: “It’s true that Arsenal have him [Sesko] in their sights, but Arsenal will sign Gyökeres because he wants to join Arsenal.
“Other clubs have tried to enter the race, like Juventus, but he will go to Arsenal, and other strikers won’t come if he goes there. He was their first target from the start, and now they have to find an agreement with Sporting. He will be an Arsenal player.”
Whilst Gyokeres has an £85m release clause, it is expected that he won’t cost that much this summer, and a fee closer to £70m is a more reasonable target. But based on what Di Marzio has said, Arsenal may have finally picked a striker based on the fact that Gyokeres has made it very clear that he wants to play at the Emirates rather than Old Trafford next season.
