Arsenal hold Eberechi Eze transfer talks as they chase four more deals

Arsenal have reportedly entered discussions over a potential move for England and Crystal Palace forward Eberechi Eze, potentially setting up a transfer battle with Tottenham for the Crystal Palace star who has a £68m release clause in his contract.

This is the latest twist in Arsenal's quest for wide options, as their sporting director Andrea Berta has been in dialogue with numerous agents, players and clubs this summer.

Eze was let go by Arsenal at the age of 13, an experience he confessed left him a "crying wreck." However, there is now a genuine chance he could make a return to the Emirates Stadium this summer.

The Gunners are keen to bolster their wide areas and the 26-year-old fits the profile after enjoying the best season of his career at both club and international level, reports the Mirror.

Tottenham have also shown interest in Eze, with their new manager Thomas Frank being a big admirer of the winger. Spurs had previously pursued Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo, but he is now likely to join Manchester United, leading them to consider Eze as an alternative.

While Arsenal have spoken to numerous players, it remains uncertain whether they will actually proceed with a move for Eze - although talks have taken place.

In addition to Eze, Arsenal have also been eyeing Real Madrid star Rodrygo as a wide option. He could be available for around £70m, but his wage demands could prove to be a stumbling block.

Arsenal are also on the hunt for a striker, with RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko being their top choice, while Sporting CP's Viktor Gyokeres is also on their radar.

The Gunners are nearing a deal for Valencia's Cristhian Mosquera, whilst also working to secure William Saliba on a new contract.

In addition, Arsenal are finalising a £5m deal for Chelsea's Kepa Arrizabalaga, and Brentford's Christian Norgaard is poised to join the club, with Martin Zubimendi also set for a £51m move.
