Manchester United are’‘already in negotiations’ to add coach Acácio Valentim to Ruben Amorim’s backroom staff next season.
That’s according to Record, who report that Manchester United have already moved for the 49-year-old after Amorim specifically requested his signing.
The newspaper explains that Manchester United are still restructuring behind the scenes and, as such, keeping a close eye on the market to add value at all levels of the club.
That’s led them to targeting Valentim, with negotiations already underway. According to Record’s information, there is still work to be done on the coach’s potential arrival at Old Trafford. There is, however, a belief that a positive outcome will be reached, and he’ll join Amorim’s support structure.
Valentim is available this summer after leaving Sporting Braga. He also had a spell as team manager at SH SIPG from 2018 to 2021.
A move to Manchester United is an attractive option for the coach, who is a well-known name in Portuguese football according to the newspaper. Now Amorim wants to add him to his backroom staff this summer and negotiations are already underway to make that happen.
