Darts sensation and Manchester United superfan Luke Littler has blasted Alejandro Garnacho.

Garnacho, 20, looks set to leave the Red Devils this summer after a bust-up with Ruben Amorim that reached boiling point after the Europa League final.

And Littler, 18, has pulled no punches when speaking about the Argentine winger - admitting he "doesn't have a future at the Red Devils. Speaking to Covers in an interview published first here by Daily Star Sport, Littler was asked about his opinion on Christopher Nkunku to United.

He responded: "I'm pretty sure we were looking into him last season or the season before, before he joined Chelsea. Obviously that's what they're looking into, a swap deal with Garnacho moving to Chelsea and Nkunku to us.

"But I think either way, Garnacho doesn't have a United future anymore. I think Nkunku can either play as a 10 or play as a 9."

Garnacho has been linked to Chelsea this month, as he was in January before deciding to stay put at the Red Devils.

Littler was also asked if Bryan Mbeumo was the man to take Amorim's side to the next level: "Yeah, obviously we wouldn't be offering more money if we didn't think he's going to fit in well. I think we're up to £60million, £65m as of today. But I'm sure we'll get him over the line.

"Obviously Matheus Cunha is a done deal from Wolves. But then even if we do get (Mbuemo) we'll need to start looking at the midfield and then obviously the back line."

Amorim is looking to dip into the transfer market to bolster his squad after a torrid season last time out. United slumped to 15th in the Premier League and were beaten in the final of the Europa League by Spurs.

However, Littler doesn't think there needs to be a change at the top: "I think the back three is very different to what we usually played throughout the years of (recent) managers we have had. It's a different process.

"Obviously we'll either play with the two wing backs or we'll play with a left winger and a right back and then we drop back into the back four. But yeah, especially with the three attackers that we do have, whoever it is, it's going to be ruthless.

"It's not worked as much last season, but I'm sure, second season, the players know what to do. They know the positions, and I'm sure we'll do well."

He added a sixth or seventh place finish next season should be the goal.

Luke Littler was speaking to Covers on behalf of bet365, the official sponsor of the PDC US Darts Masters.
