Arsenal have held talks with Eberechi Eze’s camp over a potential summer move, with some rumours that the Gunners have even agreed personal terms with the player.

Alex Crook and Alex Conrad reported for talkSPORT on Thursday that Arsenal are threatening to hijack Tottenham Hotspur’s move for Eberechi Eze, adding the Crystal Palace player to their list of summer targets.
Tom Allnutt and Gary Jacob confirm for The Times that Arsenal have Eze on their shortlist, with Manchester City and Spurs also interested.
Palace are expected to hold to the player’s release clause, which is reportedly a guaranteed £60m payment with an additional £8m in potential add-ons. And the set payment structure of the clause could also cause problems.

But other sources have suggested that the situation could be more advanced than just Arsenal adding the player to their shortlist.
John Cross reports for the Mirror that Arsenal have held talks with Eze’s camp, and football insider Team News and Ticks reports on his Patreon that the Gunners have actually agreed personal terms with the player.
Both sources add that it’s not clear yet whether Arsenal will actually push forward with a deal, or whether Berta is simply lining him up as a potential target if other moves fail.
We’ve seen that strategy in action all summer with Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres, with Arsenal evidently only planning to sign one but keeping both deals alive until they’re ready to pull the trigger.

With Arsenal’s interest in Rodrygo and the fact it’s unlikely they’ll be able to sign both players this summer, it’s possible the Gunners will stall on a decision on Eze until they know what’s happening with the Real Madrid winger.
But a move for Eze has its advantages in its own right. The 26-year-old is experienced in the Premier League, and he directly contributed to 25 goals in 43 games in 2024/25. Also, signing him would mess with Spurs’ plans.
Just like in the centre-forward position, Arsenal have decisions to make on the wings this summer.
