Arsenal are reportedly 'continuing informal discussions' regarding Morgan Rogers as sporting director Andrea Berta gathers information on potential targets.
The Gunners have not yet zeroed in on a single player, but according to the Express Rogers remains a key consideration as the transfer window enters a critical phase.
Aston Villa, for their part, do not want to sell Rogers and have no intention of doing so this summer.
From next month, Premier League clubs will enjoy greater financial flexibility. PSR has compelled many to curb their spending until 30 June - the year-end accounting date for the 2024/25 season.
Once this date passes, we could see a surge in transfers mirroring the initial phase of the window prior to the Club World Cup.
Berta and other high-ranking Arsenal officials have been exploring various candidates who could provide Mikel Arteta with a fresh option on the left wing.
The Express claim the club initially contacted Rogers' representatives a month ago and have 'remained in contact' while other prospects have fallen through.
Arsenal were hesitant to meet Nico Williams' salary expectations, and he is now nearing a move to Barcelona.
Rodrygo is another costly possibility, and there's no assurance that he'll be permitted to leave Real Madrid, nor any solid indication that he wishes to do so.
Anthony Gordon also has fans at the Emirates, but Newcastle could demand a hefty transfer fee.
The report adds that Arsenal are eyeing a variety of targets on the flanks, but Rogers offers the added advantage of being able to operate in central positions.
Chelsea have also shown interest in the 22 year old, while Liverpool's interest has dwindled since making initial enquiries before the transfer window opened.
Chelsea's Noni Madueke and Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze are also thought to be on Arsenal's radar as part of a transfer strategy that could spell trouble for current left-wing starter Gabriel Martinelli.
