Alejandro Garnacho may have put paid to any hopes of joining Aston Villa from Manchester United by his own antics.
The Villans have been strongly linked with a switch for the Argentina international as Manchester United look to part ways with the winger.
This has only been made worse after the 20-year-old shared an image of himself wearing a Marcus Rashford Villa shirt on holiday.
It is fair to say that this hasn’t gone down well with the Old Trafford faithful, something which is bound to result in concern from Emery in B6.

Emery to react to Garnacho rage at Manchester United
If there is any head coach who can get the best out of potentially troubling players, it is the Spaniard.
Last season, he proved exactly that with the addition of Rashford on loan for the second half of the campaign in the Midlands.

Although the England international has now returned to the Red Devils, a teammate of his could be set to make a Villa Park switch.
Garnacho could follow in his footsteps, but a move may have been scuppered by wearing the famous claret and blue and causing widespread frustration on social media.

Former Brentford and Leicester City manager Martin Allen believes Ruben Amorim and his squad will be highly annoyed with the winger’s antics, as will Emery in B6, so much so that he may block a move.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Allen said: “The manager at Manchester United, the players and the fans will be absolutely fuming.
“Why would a player actually do that and post a picture of it on social media?
“It heavily suggests that the player wants to leave and that he hates Manchester United.
“If you’re Unai Emery and you’re seeing a potential transfer target doing that to his previous club, I would have to question whether I wanted to sign them.
“If he’s willing to do that, what’s he going to be like as a person when you need him in big games?
“If I were Unai Emery, I’d be saying, ‘Silly picture. You are not coming to Aston Villa.'”

Garnacho transfer to Aston Villa could be off
There is no doubt that the Argentine has excellent quality, which could make him one of the brightest talents in the Premier League.
It is fair to say that he hasn’t showcased that regularly at Man United, with questions of his attitude raised over the last 12 to 18 months.
Emery could work to get the most out of Garnacho, in a similar vein to what he did after signing Morgan Rogers from Middlesbrough in January 2024.
It would be interesting to know how much the recent controversy has impacted a move for the winger in B6, but fans will now wait to see how the saga plays out.
