Brentford have announced Keith Andrews as their new head coach to fill the vacancy left by Thomas Frank's departure to Tottenham.
Andrews, who has a rich playing history including stints at Wolves, MK Dons, Blackburn, and 35 international caps for the Republic of Ireland, brings a wealth of experience to his new role.
Having transitioned into coaching with roles at MK Dons and within the Irish national team setup, Andrews expressed his gratitude upon his promotion: "I'm very appreciative of the owner (Matthew Benham), the board and the staff that have supported this decision," he shared on Brentford's official website.
"It's an opportunity I feel I'm very capable of doing and ready to do. "I don't know where to start in terms of what's exciting me because there's so much: the potential of the football club, the potential of the players and the potential of the staff that underpin what has brought success to this brilliant football club."
Andrews, the club's now former set-piece coach, coming in for Frank is one of many big changes to have taken place at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Michael Kayode and Caoimhin Kelleher have already been confirmed as new signings while first-choice goalkeeper Mark Flekken has joined Bayer Leverkusen.
Similarly to Frank, talisman Bryan Mbeumo and captain Christian Norgaard are primed to swap the Bees for a traditional top six club.
The latter is on the verge of joining Arsenal with Mikel Arteta needing another midfield signing in addition to Martin Zubimendi as both Jorginho and Thomas Partey have played their final games for the Gunners.
Though he has two years remaining on his current deal, having signed a new contract recently, £10million has been agreed as the initial fee heading to the Bees with more funds in add-ons available.
Mbeumo meanwhile, is closing in on a move to Manchester United having made his preference for an Old Trafford switch clear.
