Just hours after it emerged that Arsenal are now ready to challenge Tottenham for Eberechi Eze, a new report has revealed that another one of the Premier League’s big guns have now turned their sights towards the Crystal Palace man.
Spurs fans were excited when it emerged earlier this week that Eze had expressed a desire to move to Tottenham after the Lilywhites made advances towards the attacking midfielder.
However, since then, it has become clear that Thomas Frank’s men have plenty of competition to contend with for the England international.
It was reported by TEAMtalk a few days ago that Manchester United, Newcastle United, Aston Villa, and Bayern Munich also eyeing Eze. It was subsequently claimed by talkSPORT on Thursday that Arsenal could rival Tottenham for Eze this summer.

Man City turn their attention towards Tottenham and Arsenal target Eberechi Eze
The Times have now confirmed that the Gunners indeed have Eze on their shortlist, but it is not clear if he is Mikel Arteta’s top target, with the report revealing that Tottenham’s fierce rivals also have their eye on Chelsea’s Noni Madueke.
However, more consequentially, the outlet claims that Manchester City have also entered the race to sign the Palace star.
City’s entrance into the race further complicates the pursuit for Tottenham, who were hoping to make Eze their marquee signing at the start of a new era under Frank.

Why Spurs may have hopes of beating Man City to Eze
Interestingly, City and Spurs were also the two clubs who showed the most interest in the Eagles star during last summer’s transfer window.
It was reported at the time that Eze favoured a move to Tottenham over Man City as he wanted to remain in London.
If the attacking midfielder’s stance has not changed since then, the competition from Arsenal may be what Spurs are worried about more than City.
