The Los Angeles Lakers made some noise on Thursday night at the NBA draft.
They ended up getting Adou Thiero, who could provide them with a lot of help in multiple ways on the court.
Writing on X, Kevin O’Connor praised the Lakers for their choice, saying that Thiero’s history of dunks and free throws is just some of the great things he could bring to the table.
“Adou Thiero is an awesome choice for the Lakers. Logged 45 dunks and had six games with 10+ free throws. Elite athlete who lives in the paint. Needs to improve his jumper but has everything else you’d want in an elite role player,” O’Connell posted on X.

Getting a role player out of the draft is always a great thing, especially for this Lakers team.
They need to get the most out of their stars, especially now.
They don’t want players who can only do one thing and instead are looking for versatility in the lineup.
Thiero has a lot of promise, but fans shouldn’t expect to see much of him in his rookie season.
He might spend a lot of time in the G League or could be on the bench often.
Or he could provide reliable support and work his way into the rotation.
There are still a ton of questions about this Lakers team, and it’s not entirely clear what the lineup will look like in 2025-26.
Will Austin Reaves still be around, and will they add a much-needed center?
People continue to wonder what’s next for LA, but at least they have a promising rookie in their ranks now.
