West Ham need to strengthen their squad with younger players this summer, and have been linked with a move for Jacob Ramsey.
Aston Villa need to sell to resolve their PSR issues, and could listen to offers for a number of their players as Premier League clubs circulate.
West Ham are also in a difficult financial position, with Mohammed Kudus and Lucas Paquetá potentially on the chopping block this summer as the Hammers look to raise funds.
Graham Potter will need options on the wings and in attacking midfield, and Ramsey could be targeted to fill this gap.

West Ham and Tottenham are interested in Ramsey
Villa are seemingly willing to let go of Ramsey, and have set an asking price for their homegrown star, who featured heavily last season.

Mail Sport (27 June) have now reported that West Ham and Tottenham are both “tentatively” interested in Ramsey, who is valued at £40million by Villa.
Should West Ham bid close to that amount, Villa will sanction his exit, but there is an argument to suggest that this would be a bad move.

West Ham should avoid Ramsey deal
Ramsey does tick a lot of boxes for West Ham, given that he is 24, experienced and can play in several different positions, but signing him for £40m would not be a smart move.
The midfielder made 29 Premier League appearances last season, but he scored just one goal in that time, featuring both on the left wing as well as occasionally in central positions.
While it was a more productive campaign after his injury problems in the last two seasons, he still missed a significant period and has yet to maintain his fitness over an extended period of time.
West Ham’s budget is limited this summer, and as it stands, offering such a significant fee for a player who has not hit his best form and would not offer any output in front of goal would be an unwise move.
