Manchester United are ramping up their summer overhaul under Ruben Amorim, targeting fresh attacking talent and preparing to clear space in the squad.
With Matheus Cunha already signed and discussions around Bryan Mbeumo progressing, every outgoing player represents an opportunity for reinvestment in key areas.
The club’s recruitment team is sounding out several targets, particularly in forward positions, as they look to increase goal output after a disappointing 2024/25 season.

Meanwhile, any departure this summer could help balance the books and fund further arrivals.
Among those being considered for large-scale sales is a high-profile winger.
That player is Antony.
After joining Manchester United in a big-money move, the 25‑year‑old Brazilian struggled to find form and was sent on loan to Real Betis for the second half of last season.
In Seville, Antony revitalised his career, notching nine goals and five assists across 26 appearances—numbers that caught the attention of fans and the Betis hierarchy alike.
Now, Real Betis sporting director Manu Fajardo, via the Express, has confirmed that the La Liga side plan to pursue a reunion, provided Manchester United are willing to strike a deal.
“We all have to be aware that this is a very complex operation,” Fajardo said, underlining the financial reality.
“Given the player’s level and his recent career at Real Betis, it’s not an easy transaction.
“But, as long as Antony hasn’t committed to a third party, we, with the utmost humility, will play our cards to be able to opt for Antony.”

Betis are hoping to fund the pursuit by cashing in on American midfielder Johnny Cardoso, who they are reportedly selling to Atletico Madrid for around £26 million.
That sale could provide the budget to make Antony’s switch permanent—but Fajardo admits creativity will be required.
“I insist, despite this being a complex operation, we will try to carry it out in different ways without compromising the club… In the end, the most important thing is also the sustainability of the club,” he added.
United’s interest in selling Antony is mutual, but the challenge lies in matching values, wages and structure.
Even so, the Brazilian’s resurgence in Spain, and the cash Real Betis could unlock, makes this a story worth watching.
“Today, the market is open. As I said before, it’s very dynamic, and we are part of that game,” Fajardo concluded.
For Manchester United fans, Antony’s move could define how summer business unfolds—whether vulnerable players are offloaded to finance new arrivals, or potential returns are given a second chance.
As Amorim crafts his strike force, Antony’s future could be the spark that sets the rest of United’s transfer window in motion.
