Wolverhampton Wanderers target Wallace Yan has earned the praise of teammate Bruno Henrique, who was keen to hype the 20-year-old today.

The youngster has been impressing for Flamengo, scoring in clashes with Chelsea and LA Galaxy so far and making himself stand out on the biggest stage.
That’s led to interest, particularly from Wolves, with a report stating that they have made moves to sign the player this summer as they look to rebuild their squad for Vitor Pereira. The youngster has a €40m release clause in his current deal.
He wouldn’t be the first player that Wolves have signed from Brazil in recent years, with that an area they have gone to regularly to sign players.
For example, they signed Andre from Fluminense last summer in a €22m deal, Pedro Lima in the same window while Joao Gomes was signed from Flamengo in 2022. This summer has already seen them linked to several players in Brazil again, most notably Corinthians striker Yuri Alberto.
Now Yan ahs been added to the list and Henrique can certainly see why, praising his teammate today.
“I identify myself in Wallace Yan,” he said.
“He runs, assists, scores goals. I see him shining. He’s a star. He scored a goal against Chelsea, Los Angeles… In big games he doesn’t hide, he goes for it. He’s going to be very successful at Flamengo and will help us a lot while he’s with us.
“I see a difference in everything. He’s Flamengo’s number 10. A star player. The national team. The World Cup. He’s a role model for us.
“I identify with him a lot. He has quality passing and scoring. Whenever I play with him, he gives me a touch and tells me to stay alert. He finds touches that are kind of magical. He’s coming off a lot of good games, and I hope he can help us once again.”
