Bayern Munich are scanning the Premier League for attacking reinforcements, and their eyes have landed on a familiar name at Anfield.
According to Bundesliga insider Christian Falk, Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo has emerged as a ‘personal favourite’ of Bayern sporting director Max Eberl.
The revelation, shared with CaughtOffside, comes as Bayern widen their search for quality wingers amid a shrinking transfer market.
Eberl reportedly admires Gakpo’s all-around game and sees him as a possible solution to Bayern’s wing concerns.
While initial talks were held earlier in the summer, recent weeks have gone quiet.
That may change quickly if Bayern’s winger shortlist continues to thin.

Why Gakpo Won’t Be an Easy Target for Bayern
Gakpo was instrumental in Liverpool’s title-winning 2024/25 season, combining for 35 goals and 15 assists with teammate Luis Diaz.
The Dutchman remains under contract until 2028 and is considered central to Arne Slot’s long-term plans.
Slot’s Eredivisie background and strong rapport with Gakpo strengthen Liverpool’s stance.
The manager views him as a crucial part of the squad moving forward, making any potential exit unlikely.
Bayern may still test the waters, but Liverpool hold the leverage.
Unless Gakpo himself pushes for a move, there is no indication the Reds will entertain bids.
For now, Eberl’s admiration remains just a compliment, not a cue for departure.
