The Phoenix Suns acquired Koby Brea in the NBA draft, and that move could impact the team in multiple ways.
According to Evan Sidery, Grayson Allen is now a “very strong trade candidate” after the drafting of Brea.
The Suns, who aren’t done making moves yet, will look to turn Allen’s contract into one with a “better rotational fit” moving forward.

In 2024-25, Allen produced 10.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.1 assists for the Suns.
He shot 44.8 percent from the field and 42.6 percent from the three-point line.
Allen has been a big help for multiple teams and led the league in three-point shooting in 2023-24.
However, he only spent a couple of seasons in Phoenix and never quite fit in the way the team wanted.
Of course, that was true for just about everyone, and it wasn’t entirely Allen’s fault.
Because of his offensive power, Allen could fetch the Suns someone special on the trade market.
After losing Kevin Durant, Phoenix still has some big plans, and they aren’t content to stay the same in the next season and beyond.
The way they handle a potential Allen trade will say a lot about their plans and what they envision moving forward.
Where will Allen land, and how long will he be there?
With the right team, he could be a reliable and long-term asset.
The Suns will surely make other moves beyond Allen, and there have been rumors about stars like Royce O’Neale and Bradley Beal leaving as well.
This is a team to keep a close eye on because they are desperate to finally close the page on their last few troubled seasons.
