Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta could see one star 'run across London' in order to sign for the Gunners this summer, according to reports - with the Emirates Stadium outfit keen on bringing Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi to the club in the coming months, according to BBC journalist Sami Mokbel.
Guehi has just one year left on his Palace deal, sparking interest from elite clubs across the Premier League as they all aim to strengthen their backlines with his addition, having excelled for Palace for the past four years and being a staple in Gareth Southgate's EURO 2024 England team, reaching the final with some impressive displays.

That has led Arsenal to be interested in bringing him to north London if the Champions League outfit can agree a deal with the Eagles for his signing. However, with Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba both nailing down the starting spots at the Gunners under Arteta, Guehi may reject their advances unless he's promised a starting spot by director Andrea Berta.

But Mokbel believes that if Guehi is promised one of the two positions at the heart of their defence, he would 'run across London' to sign for the club. He told the 'Latte Firm' podcast:
"[Jorrel] Hato is a player that they've at, and [Marc] Guehi is a player that they've looked at as well, and who they are definitely interest in.
"The issue with Marc Guehi is he looks at Arsenal, and of course, if Arsenal came to him with a proposal to say 'you're going to be one of our starting centre-backs', then he would run across London to do that deal, I'm sure he would.
"But the problem, and the problem that Arsenal are going to face if they're signing a centre half this summer, is in convincing them to come and be number three, come and become the third choice."
Hato would be a strong signing from Ajax, having burst into their first-team three years ago at the age of just 17 - and he would likely be more inclined to sit on the bench and wait for his chance.
But Guehi has Premier League experience and if Arsenal can guarantee that he starts alongside Gabriel or Saliba, it could be a deal that accelerates this summer. Guehi, who has been dubbed 'world-class', could move alongside Palace teammate Eberechi Eze, who has also been linked with an Arsenal move.
