Manchester City are plotting a bid for Newcastle United star Tino Livramento despite the Magpies' 'not for sale' stance as they feel he is keen to join, GIVEMESPORT sources understand.
The Cityzens have had a busy summer transfer window already so far after completing deals to sign Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Rayan Cherki ahead of the Club World Cup, while Kevin De Bruyne has departed at the end of his contract and joined Serie A champions Napoli.
But manager Pep Guardiola is keen to add more to his squad before the Premier League season starts in August and right-back is a position they are keen to strengthen, with Kyle Walker expected to leave.

Newcastle not interested in selling
Tino Livramento in action for Newcastle United
City's top target for the right-back position is Newcastle United star Tino Livramento, who has shone for the Magpies in recent seasons while currently starring for England Under-21s at the European Championship - where he has all but one game as the Young Lions reached their second consecutive final.
Newcastle do not want to sell and do not need to sell the 22-year-old, who has been described as 'unbelievable', but that has not stopped Man City planning to make a move to see if they can convince them.
City are tempted to make their move despite Newcastle's stance being clear, and GMS sources understand that the seven-time Premier League champions believe they are turning the young defender's head. However, Newcastle are confident that he is happy at St James' Park and fully believes in the club's project at the moment.
Tino Livramento's statistics for Newcastle United this season
There is now a wait to discover when Man City will make their move to test Newcastle's resolve, with the club having reached the last 16 of the Club World Cup following three wins in three games during the group stages - including a 5-2 win over Juventus on Thursday night.
The Blues are prioritising finding a new right-back for the new season and sources say there are four players under consideration for the position, but it's Livramento who is at the top of their list.
Livramento Versatility Key to Man City Interest
Newcastle in Champions League means they're in a strong spot

While Livramento is seen as the top choice for City's right-back problem, his ability to play on both flanks is likely to be a key factor in their interest too.
Livramento has played regularly as a left-back for Newcastle and Southampton in his senior career, and so far during the European Championships in the Czech Republic this summer he has played half of his games at right-back, and the other half at left-back.
But with Newcastle qualifying for the Champions League for the 2025/26 season, they are in a strong negotiating position and Livramento's contract doesn't expire until 2028.
