could have a busy week ahead as they prepare for the second transfer deadline of the summer.

The Magpies have already gone past the first transfer deadline this summer when the window closed on June 10 ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup. a few days later and will remain so until September 1, giving Newcastle plenty of time to get their transfer business wrapped up.

have been linked with a transfer to Newcastle this summer, but no new faces have moved to as the end of June approaches. That could change in the days and weeks ahead, with a fresh deadline on the horizon for United and other Premier League clubs.

June 30 is the final day of the financial year for Newcastle and the other 19 clubs. As a result, July 1 marks the first day of the 2025/26 season and will give the Magpies a fresh chance to go into the transfer market for new signings.

As Chronicle Live has already reported, Newcastle and . The Magpies will be hoping to wrap up deals for all three players in the near future, although there is work to be done to make that a reality.

It's understood that , who is thought to be valued at around £60million. United are offering close to £50million at the moment and it remains to be seen if a breakthrough will be made in the negotiations.

Elanga is also a target for Newcastle, but the Nottingham Forest talent is understood to not be for sale this summer. That is not stopping the Magpies from trying to bring the Sweden international to St James' Park, having already seen a £40million offer rejected and are looking to make an improved offer.

There have been suggestions that Forest value Elanga at a fee closer to £60million, despite their stance of not wanting the forward to leave the City Ground this summer.

Newcastle are also interested in signing Trafford from Burnley, but are not close to agreeing a fee for the former Manchester City goalkeeper. A price tag is thought to have been set by the Clarets of around £40million, with the player himself wanting the move.

It's possible that Newcastle could get deals for one of the three aforementioned players before June 30. However, if the Magpies need to wait for the PSR deadline to pass, it's also possible that the transfers could be completed next week instead.
