Milan green light sale of Hammers- linked midfielder

It is not only West Ham who plan to rip up their midfield this summer and start a rebuild: From the sale of Tijjani Reijnders to Manchester City for a whacking £46 million, AC Milan are in the rebuild phase too. And the similarities don’t end there: The Hammers are looking to move on others – much like Milan.

West Ham’s Rodriguez, Alvarez, Soucek and Ward Prowse are all believed to be up for sale – and Milan have just given the green light to selling three of their own midfielders, according to football-italia.net earlier today: Reijnders isn’t the only midfielder leaving Milan this summer as the Italian side are also eager to offload Yunus Musah, Yacine Adli and Ismael Bennacer.

And of course**, Musah** ‘was’ a reported West Ham target. ( Until yesterdays article by exWHUemployee in thewesthamway.com) With failed negotiations taking place with Napoli and discussions now ongoing with Nottingham Forest, there is a very real chance of the dynamic 22 year old midfielder making it to the Premier League at a very West Ham price of €20 million for the American national.

Although the club have not – according to exWHUemployee – yet been in ‘active’ negotiations for him – that would seem to be the case for just about every player across Europe just now as the Irons wait for cash from player sales or Director’s pockets.

Musah has certainly been scouted by West Ham and was indeed reported to be on Macaulay’s shopping list. I guess we are about to find out whether Musah is more appealing to the club than a player at the other end of his career – Josh Brownlow, anyone?

Nope? Thought not.
