Jets' Aaron Glenn Reveals 'We're Built For This’ Message to Locker Room

The New York Jets can now begin to move through their offseason work after the hiring of Aaron Glenn as head coach and Darren Mougey as general manager.

Now that those two key decisions have been made, attention turns to the roster and who will stay and go as Glenn and Mougey look to shape this team in their image and bring success back to the AFC East franchise.

With Glenn speaking at his introductory press conference, one thing stands out about the new Jets head coach - he's ready for the fight.

"Put your seat belts on and get ready for the ride, put your seat belts on, and get ready for the ride," Glenn said. "Listen, there are going to be some challenges, but with challenges becomes opportunity, but here's what I do know, we're the freaking New York Jets, we're built for this (expletive)."

Those are powerful words, Mr. Glenn.

Given how poorly the team fared both on and off the field last season, some don't think this will be a quick turnaround, but make no mistake, Glenn is ready to roll up his sleeves and get to work alongside Mougey.

Will there be challenges? Sure. But Glenn is determined to be all gas, no brakes as he attempts to steer this embattled ship to calmer waters.

It won't happen overnight, as there are a host of decisions that the Jets must get right, but with Glenn now steering this ship, it feels like they have a chance to build something.

Now, will Glenn be a success? It's too early to tell, but you can make sure he won't rest until the job is done.

Why? Because he's built for this.
